Rail joiner installation tool

Hi Guys:

Having just slit my finger open installing track joiners, I am not looking for a tool to install the little things.  I thought I saw one one time that was 3 way, held the joiner and gave you a surface to push on, but dont know where I found it

Thanks for the help

Walthers Plymouth ML-8 Loco - ESU Decoder Manual?

I recently purchased a Walthers HO scale Plymouth ML-8 diesel loco with DCC.  There is no mention in the loco instructions of a decoder manual.  According to the review on the Model Railroader Magazine website the loco has an ESU decoder.  I cannot locate info for a decoder manual on the ESU website.  Can someone provide a link to the decoder manual for this loco?  Thank you!

According to the ESU General Manager at the Montoursville, Pennsylvania location:

cleaning track

Hi Folks;

Seem to be developing a problem here -- probably related to the current high humidity in the area.  My trackwork seems to be getting dirty quite rapidly -- to the point that locomotives wont run properly.  I have a mix of atlas and Microengineering track.  Ive been using a chunk of masonite to clean it but I'm wondering if thats appropriate, is there a preventative?

Thanks

My First Layout

Hi All,

A few quick shots of my first layout, a 300mm x 1600mm ish 'shunting plank' on an N scale British theme. It's a temporary build to get familiar with basic practical skills in order to build a larger and more complete layout at a later time (and in another country, we're planning to move to Melbourne soon). Hence, very simple scenery and card buildings which will be turfed before the move; I only plan to hold on to the rolling stock, track, controller, and vehicles.

I need help understand the wiring of DC (only) modular (Club) exhibition layout to free mo standard

Hello everyone
My Names Shannon and I volunteer at the The Maryborough City Whistle Stop in Maryborough , Qld  (Australia).  Our club is now getting interested in displaying at exhibitions locally  and decided to do a 15 module  club layout.

NCE Light-It decoders programmed en-masse!

I just found a Massively useful programming trick (undocumented) for NCE Light-it decoders.  Useful when you want Many to act in similar fashion.  I'll set mine to flash the red light on my cabeese.

To program many cards with a common lighting effect,  pigtail them together and proceed on One card... After you have set it up, you'll find all will get programmed.

The group will have the same program thereafter.

(Thanks, Prof... link below to my post on NCE website)
