I'm just Curious - Raspberry Pi

How many other folks out there have hooked up a Raspberry Pi  to their layout?  I went from an NCE PowerCab to a Pi-Sprog and am really enjoying it.  I am using an old iPhone, that I got from one of my kids, as a dedicated throttle.  My favorite part is being able to stand across the room, watching my train, and still having control.

Transfer Cabooses (Cabeese)

I've long been a fan of transfer cabooses. Somewhere in my files I have LOTS of pics of this big variety of cars. And I have a number of them as well as kits for them, as well as flat cars, and other cars that might be kit-bashed into them.

So it was with an admiring eye that I spotted this one at a train show this weekend. Had to have it, whether it was prototypical or not.

track bumpers for code 100 track?

Does anyone know if I can get Bumpers for my code 100 track? The ones I have and seen are ugly, bulky and have a red light. Is there anything I can do to make or get something that is not so ugly.

C&O Greenbrier Hybrid by Broadway Ltd

I just saw a review of the new C&O Greenbrier by Broadway Ltd.

Being a C&O fan, and having had one of these in brass a number of years ago, had me interested.

Canadian Thanksgiving Progress

I did not get as much done on my bench work as I planned mostly due to the lack of materials to work with.

However I did manage to get a 4 ft section in and the frame for my swing gate.

Here are a couple of photos of the progress.

until next time.

Dreamplayer

I am thinking of adding background sound to a section of my layout. Has anyone used the Pricom Dreamplayer and what are your result and experience? I like the LTE version but am wondering if the trigger can be produced by Digitrax block detection. In other words the player would only start a track if the block becomes occupied?

Prof K I see that your listed in the credits on this product. Do you have input on it?

1970-1980 era car detail cheat sheet

Modeling the 1970's and 1980's era is probably not one of the most popular timelines to model in the hobby.    Given the number of layouts I have seen, many are steam/early-diesel or are as modern as today.    This post isn't about statistics but to share a cheat sheet on keeping track of certain detail items and which is proper for the timelines we model.

If you have corrections or additions, please share and I will consolidate and repost.
