Modelling Track - Weathering
Just putting up some of my track samples. Trying to find 3-4 good track formulas. I'm using Valjero pigments, paints Airbrushing doing dry brushing and Washes. Its getting confusing to what looks right and looks good and sort of prototype looking where it of course doesn't look too …well you know ...too educational.

Snow Plow Truck
My little shelf layout is basically one large industry complex in the middle of winter. I needed a plow truck that would clear the lots after snow fall. After watching so many Whats Neat pod casts with Mike Buddy showing his amazing HO scale vehicles, I just had to give it a try.

Flexible Wire
I have a Rapido Angus Van and it's performance is hideous. It derailed going around a 22" radius curve. My research indicates that it is due to the inability for the truck to rotate. I have clipped off some detail but it is further hindered by the electrical pickup system. A fellow showed me how to mitigate this by making a modification but I'm still not happy so I removed all pickup and it works great. I'd like to try to get it to work with more flexible wire either 30 or 32 gauge.

Staging tracks design input needed
In preparation for a several day visit from my almost 3 year old grandson, I have started the work on the staging for the NNE Scenic Model Railroad.
The staging also serve as a return loop enabling continuous operation of the Exeter + Rockingham Junction portion of my layout that now has track laid and wired. That will allow me to run trains in a continuous loop with him, let him press the controller buttons, and hopefully intrigue him with the train leaving the layout through the wall and then appearing coming back in elsewhere.
Larger chopper
Is anyone aware of a larger type chopper. One that would be used for maybe up to 5" multiple cuts in basswood ?
Always seem to run out of setting on my chopper for O scale. Thanks

Optivisor
Hi everyone,
The #1 item on my wish list right now is an Optivisor.
On their website, they list an Optivisor and an Optivisor LX I couldn't really see any difference!
Any one have either one?
Also, I'm wondering if the lighted Optivisor provides decent lighting?

Alright, everyone since this is my first post, I'll start off with some prototype information.

Speaking of paint fade; what about typical light dirty weathering?
The discussion on paint fade is very interesting and practical, especially to those with little or no weathering experience.
Now many in that topic have posted some extremely realistic weathering jobs, and many of them are much more heavily weathered that what I am interested in learning to do.
