Bachmann 2-6-0 DCC problems

I purchased a Bachman 2-6-0 sound value DCC locomotive a couple of days ago on Craigslist for $50, which I thought was a decent price as the locomotive looks like it has spent its life in the box. The gentleman  I made the purchase from told me that he tested it that morning on his test track and the locomotive ran both directions and made all the sounds it was supposed too. But.......when I got it home and put it on the layout with my NCE system the only thing it does is idle....it does not move either direction. So the sound works but nothing else.

IAIS's West End - Walthers PD covered hopper rework

I've had this Walthers PD 5125cf covered hopper on the layout since 2008, a gift from my friend Roger Wiebenga.  It was in factory paint until very recently in a very bright scheme that was quite a difference from the Plain Jane prototype I intended to model with it.

Painting Laser Kits Trim Sheets

An issue that has bothered me for a while now is painting the trim sheet---windows, doors and corner trim. Painting the sheet itself is pretty easy, spray it or use a brush.

The issue is once you start taking the pieces out of the sheet, the edges of the pieces are not painted. Leave them bare? or do a lot of touch up before pulling the backing off, or doing the touch up after applying the parts to the walls.

Anybody have a easy solution to this or have found a way to do this easy or not?

Thanks,   Jack
