Did Bachrus go out of business
Wondering if the company Bachrus went out of business ? Their website is no longer available.
This was the company that sold the engine rollers.
If it is still in business how do I contact them ?
Thanks
Bill

Digitrax programming
I have a pair of HO Kato engines with TCS decoders that were loaned to a 'friend' for use during an open house event. Now that they have been returned for use on my NCE system, they don't light up, don't hum, don't nothing.
The borrower says he "didn't do anything to them."
Anyone have an idea what the problem is, and how to get them running again? Programming on the main and resetting the decoders according to the TCS protocol has not helped.
Broadway Limited Locomotives will not program on ESU Cab Control System Program track
Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a ESU Cab Control system. It has been working flawlessly so far and I love it.

0-4-4T Switcher, Identify Small Steam Engine?
Several years ago I acquired this small steam engine from an estate sale here in FL. What I noticed about it right away was all the nice detail that had been added to it. The gentleman had put some very nice workmanship into it.
It doesn't run at the moment, but I'll figure that out once I get my layout up and running. It's quite a heavy little loco, so its tractive capability should be quite good.
It has no markings as to its origin, so I was wondering if someone might recognize what it started out life as??

IAIS's West End - Weathering fun with PanPastels
One of my hobby goals the last couple years has been to get busy weathering my rolling stock. I've barely scratched the surface toward that end, but finally knocked out a few examples over this long holiday weekend. Since my favorite medium for rolling stock weathering is PanPastels, I thought I'd start a blog post to document these weathering efforts and hopefully encourage others to try the product. They're the fastest, easiest method of weathering I've found, and while they're just one tool in our weathering arsenal for more in-depth projects, even b
Joe - a suggestion for you
I just downloaded the MRH July issue and was reading the story about you dismantling your layout. Before removing your trackage take a spray bottle of an alcohol/water solution and liberally spray the trackage. Let it soak in a few minutes, then take a putty knife and slide it under the track and it will come up intact. Then use a stiff bristle brush to remove the remailing ballast from the track. After the ballast dries it can also be reused.
This is assuming you used a water soluble adhesive to install the ballast.

Order of construction of decks
In my NNEScenic V3 design thread, I have started discussing a revised design that would allow me to get started much sooner on the railroad. But that faster start would only be if I build the upper deck of my layout before the lower deck.
My question is, what are the thoughts on the order of building multi deck railroads? Advantages I see of building the upper deck first are:
