Harness Alternatives
Atlas has some very nice trackside signal products especially those based on the BLMA items. Due to a number of reasons associated with the COVID virus, the connecting harness, Atlas 70-000-050, is neither in stock nor expected soon at any of the retailers or web merchants I have contacted.
Any work arounds? I would think the connect piece itself is a common item?
4 axle power
Just a quick question.
" When did 4 axle power transition from mostly working the mainline to replacing the dedicated switchers that were once so common " ?
Diaphragm's for brass passenger cars
Good evening to all, I have a question for the everyone.
Does anyone out there have any experience with installing diaphragm’s on brass passenger cars? If you do, could you make a recommendation on which brand I should try.
Thank you

Paper Mill Kitbash: Done for now, and a diversion
My kitbash of the Walthers papermill (which in my world represents just the offices and outbound warehouse) is done and in place. The core of the connecting bridge to the main plant is built, and awaits cladding in siding-type textured styrene:
Looking for Northern Pacific Indian Red paint
I'm looking for a "close enough" match for Northern Pacific Indian Red. Preferably Badger Modelflex. It doesn't need to be exact, just close.

Container
Got a container today. At first this seems to be quite ordinary. But unboxing was like a locomotive:
Container is really nice made, detailed and printed:
Station placement - Spur or Siding?
I'm designing a new layout and I wondered whether it would be more prototypical to have a passenger station located on a spur or a siding.
The siding seemed to be most realistic, except that a passenger train on that siding would then block a freight that needed it for a runaround.
I'm at an early stage of laying this out, though I have a track plan I'm happy with so it's really a matter of where I'd like to place the station.
Comments would be welcome.

OSCR - new location..up against the wall
So we'ved moved again... back to Toronto. For my Toronto friends up here please get in touch. So this is the Ontario South Central's 4th location but it just won't work in the current living arrangement. It doesn't mean i'm demoloting it though. Here it is leaning up against the wall behind the guitar amp. (The OSCR has always shared a space with a recording 'work station' studio).
Need help with JMRI signal aspect problem
I'm new to using forums so forgive me if I do anything wrong.
I need help with JMRI - the signal mast aspects that I've allowed in the Signal Mast table are not the only ones being driven by JMRI and sent to the signals.
