Armchair workdesk
To spend more time with family I want to create an Armchair workstation that allows me to spend time with the wife and still be able to do trains in some small way. What suggestions or ideas for operating a workstation in your lounge/ living room. I've already able to have a live-rail display but want to move that to doing that to a armchair workstation. What pics do you have if you are working in an Armchair. Is it a feasible goal and what sort of tasks do you do. Obviously spray paintinging is out of the question but there is few tasks i could do while watching tv.

Help to identify Loco
Not being a steam era buff could someone please help me to identify this Loco. We are using it as a tribute piece to a deceased club member.
Control Your Model Railroad with a Keyboard!
A while back, I came across this video on YouTube:

WOW Sound decoder woes........
A number of years ago I purchased a WOW Sound steam 101 decoder with keep alive but never installed it in any locomotive. I am very partial to the QSI Titan decoder as their stereo feature is really noticeable in my O scale steam locomotives. I finally had a chance to install the WOW in an Alco 2-8-2 Minaret with a single speaker because it’s decoder was acting wonky.

Fiddle Yard redux - Design ideas
While there are MANY forum threads here on MRH (I know, because I just spent the last half hour going through ALL of them!), NONE of them address the questions I am about to put forth.

Loco Limping Under Load
I've got a HO scale Manuta 2-6-6-2T that I'm hoping to use as the basis for an On30 conversion. However, it has a rather unusual problem. When I put the plastic chassis on it, the locomotive runs smoothly. But as soon as I put any weight on it (such as the body), it starts to perform poorly. It'll limp along the track, and the motor will even stall at some points.

Signs, Light Poles & Security Camera’s Installed
Working on the final details on the CN Intermodal Yard on my layout, the Trenton Subdivision in N Scale.
Work crews have been busy installing the lights and security cameras.

British? RR sign
Does anyone have knowledge of this supposed RR sign and/or its meaning? It is thought to be from the UK and was found in rolling stock stored on the West Coast of the US.

Invis-a-Mount
Does anyone remember these plastic fixtures that had a vertical oval column that stuck up thru the plywood deck from the bottom,....for adapting Peco turnout solenoids underneath the plywood deck vs directly attached to the bottom of the switch's ties ??
