Modeling topic

Please Show us your Texans, Overlands and Union Pacifics.
After putting off forgetting to add new entries to the hit "Please Show Us Your Steam Locomotives" series, it is finally time to wrap it up with five new posts. I will add the usual links to these posts and update the "Please Show Us Series home page" later.

Need advice for future project once I level my scale modelling skills.
Hello everyone,
This is my first post, and decided to join the forums after hearing about the magazine. I am a beginner in the hobby after my interest was rejuvenated so I am starting out by assembling model freight car kits and figuring out where to go next.

Electricians Needed
Electrical Wizzard Help Needed.
Problem - There are several spots on the railroad just prior to turnouts where the engine at low speed either pauses briefly or stops. There are correct drops before and after each turnout on both the main line and any siding/passing track. AT HIGHER SPEED the engine sails along nicely.
Solution? - I have cleaned wheels and track. Same o same o. The layout seems to have enough power using my Digitrak Zypher. Do I need a booster? Test light indicated power when applied at the spots where pausing or stalling happens.

IAIS's West End - Discovering a new customer - Ready Mixed Concrete
I consider myself a strict prototype modeler...and happily so. I like the boundaries that this approach provides, as they simplify life, help me focus on contentment in building with the things I have, and keep my spending in check. Without those boundaries, I have a tendency to become more of a collector than a modeler.
Bachmann (HO) 70 Ton Question
Folks,
Quick question regarding the HO Bachmann 44/70 ton chassis, old vs new - will the old version 70 ton shells fit on the newer, single motor chassis?
I have several of the old two motor versions, with custom painted shells and I'd like to upgrade them to the newer single motor drives, if the shells will fit.
Thanks,

HO Domtar 1001 Custom Paint
As promised, my Domtar 1001 photos. I finished this unit in late July as custom work for a buddy that is now modeling CN in central Wisconsin. This engine will be used to operate the Domtar paper plant at Nekoosa.
Used a BLI NW2, which represents a late production EMD NW2. Seen in some of the exposures is my BN 14, an NW2 that BN rebuilt and called it an NW-12. Note the difference in the taper of the hood down to the front windows of the cab. The BN unit represents an early build NW2.

Bench DC power supply safety?
I am shopping for a DC power supply to use to power all of my NCE Switch8 Mk2 boards that will run all my tortoise switch machines. I don't like the idea of using an internal power supply because of the potential exposure to 110V inputs or the need to put in an enclosure. I prefer something already enclosed with built in circuit protection and a power cord for the AC input power.
I was thinking of splurging on this:

Inexpensive work light
I found a real bargain for a small portable work light. It is made from the "heart" of the DeWalt DCL040 work light - the LED lamp with hood and built in parabolic reflector.
