NANO OIL

With the latest contest going on I was reminded to go have a closer look at this MRH sponsor.  After going through the website I found that not only is NANO OIL great for model trains it's also highly touted for use on firearms as well.

Anyone here use NANO OIL for their guns?

I think I'll get a bottle just to try, contest or no.

Good Old Homasote

Am curious if any 'old timers' may be here, who still swear by Homasote as their standard layout top. In my own case: Was in HO modular club 6 years in 80s-90s; used it on all 26 modules we built. Love how it holds track spikes on my Peco Code 100 flex/Insulfrogs. Always model 'weed grown' r-o-w, so don't bother w/elevated roadbed. This saves a lot of work, time and $ when on ss. And we modeled early 50s rural branchline, so trackage was right on for our era.

car interior help

I am building an interior of a car and one of the last parts I need to add are some small tables.

I tried putting small pins thru them and thru the floor, but I'm not happy with that.

Anybody got a different idea for a better way to do this?

SCENERY WITH FOAM & CAL COAT 127 VIDEO DEMO

This is my frist how to video, first sorry about the close up of the right arm.  Will improve on that.  Not something I could go back and reshoot very easy. I think that I got the demo across and that is what is important.  I will have a part two that will take you to the finish. Open article for more links.

Some inspiration for New Zealand modellers - KA942 photos

For the Kiwi steam fans out there (and others),

KA 942 came thundering through town the other weekend on her tour of the south island. I waited in the biting wind for 45 mins (she was running late) to see her on her way to Invercargill. The rain held off till she came into view but then alas the heavens opened. I'm still pleased with the photos though.

Enjoy

ASKING FOR HELP OF ANY MRH MEMBERS WHO LIVE IN OR NEAR THE NEW JERSEY AREA...

Hi guys,

I'm putting out a call for some assistance for my brother in-law who is currently stuck about 25 miles out of New Jersey. He has been in New York on business and was in New Jersey in a hotel and has since been evacuated from there. He is away from his wife and two girls and like so many is displaced and has little to no food, and is a foreigner.

Laying Flex Track

I'm laying flex track for the first time and I'm looking for a rather detailed article that I saw in MRH about laying flex track, but I can't find it.  I tried searching in the index but the search turned up nothing.  Can anyone tell me what issue the article was in?

Thanks for your help.
