Cleveland 2014--Were Soundtraxx Sound Car and the TCS WOW diesel beta the only significant DCC exhibits?

Just wondering if there weren't other offerings worth mentioning...cool

Masonite Glue?

I was thinking Contact Cement (like on Formica) would make a very strong bond between pieces of masonite.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The Milton and Dorchester RR

Now for something completely different - traction!

My Milton and Dorchester RR is a combination of the New Haven RR MIlton Branch and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) Mattapan - Ashmont High Speed trolley line. It is a U shaped 4' x 12' that uses half of the spare "hobby" room of our apartment in Lewiston ME. The setting is the late 1950's which allows the NH orange and black "McGinnis" diesels intermixed with PCC trolleys and the occasional "type 5" in its last year of operation.

6 pin toggle instead of 3 pin

Good evening,
Can anyone tell me if I can use a 6 pin on-off-on toggle switch for my points control panel instead of the 3 pin?
Thanks in advance,
Pranav

Railroad Tycoon. do you play?

Which version do you play? Or, do you play at all. "Railroad Tycoon" introduced me to the concept of progression of raw materials to basic materials and then to finished goods.

I still play the original D.O.S. version which was released in 1990. I use "DOSBox" to play on my Windows 7 computer. The newer, updated versions, and I have them all, just don't have the magic of the original.

Inglenook orientation continues

At the next session the kids were excited but leery – aren’t we ever going to make that train go?

There was a list of operating roles on the blackboard. My classroom has three beautiful gray slate blackboards along one wall. They are unusual today, and the kids are fascinated with the whole idea of writing and drawing with chalk, though they also find the experience a little bit “edgy” and uncomfortable because of the squeaks when they push the chalk instead of pull it.

Hornby surface mounted pt motor & 6-pin as 3-pin questions

Good evening,
First of all, sorry for the long post title. I thought it would be easier to find it if others had the same questions.

I have reached the point on my layout (no pun intended) where I will now be placing and securing the hornby surface point motors with double sided tape and letting the three wires down through the baseboard.
At the other end on the point control system, my track diagram is almost done and I am in a position to start mounting the toggle switches in a day or two.
I have three questions, and any answer and/ or advice would be most appreciated.
