The roof of Martisco station

So I'm going to attempt a recreation of Martisco station from the New York Central in N Scale:

How to remove masking tape without peeling previous coat of paint?

Hello,

I have been experiencing a painting issue recently and I'm not sure if itd due to the change in tape, change in paint, or an issue with the models.  I have custom painted alot of my own models prior to them being released such as CSX YN3, Amtrak P42 (Phase 4), etc.  During that time Floquil was the paint of choice and I used both Scotch's regular and Blue Painters Tape.  After painting, I had no issues with pulling the tape off and not having to see part of the paint come off as well.

Code 10 rail?

Code 10 rail?

Took this the other day, obliviously the car is not going anywhere soon. My guess is that it is being used for storage.

Ambient and triggered sound for the Milan branch

Bourk-Donaldson-Taylor Refrigerator Car

To All: Today I present a Bourk-Donaldson-Taylor refrigerator car. This company transported fruits and vegetables all over the country from Colorado. I took this photo on Dennis Larson's San Juan Northern RR HO/HOn3 layout recently. An unusual color scheme to say the least! Does any one out there know who made this car? Yours, Elvin Howland/E. Broadway Limited Imports ALCo RSD-15

I bought the new Broadway Limited Imports Southern Pacific RSD-15 locomotive.  It has some accuracy issues as far as duplicating the prototype, and I knew that before buying it, but I feel it is a good quality locomotive.

It's time to light the lights!

(With apologies to Kermit the frog)

Thanks to advice from other members of this forum, I've figured out how I'll be installing the lights on my BVLC layout.  I've decided to build a shadow box, using pine timber for support and MDF board as the 'roof' of the layout.  It has to be self-contained, as my current house is a rental.

Unsteady Progress, As Per Usual

Having an unfortunate amount of free time, and a layout in my living room instead of halfway across the country, apparently doesn't equate to things being accomplished any faster. Can you believe that?

Lightweight ceiling layouts

I've installed two ceiling storage lifts to raise two 4x8 layout tables in my two car garage, this way both our cars and layout can share the same space. My question is about options for building lightweight layouts. I'm looking for input for making both the benchwork and the scenery reasonably lightweight, and strong enough to lift.
