STATION ACCESS ROADWAY
To access my station, I designed this roadway ramp. It is inspired from my memories of access road ramps in Rhinecliff and Beacon, N.Y. They are access to railroad stations and ferry terminals on the Hudson River.
They are made from Rix bridge components.

Transforming cheap rolling stock
Stopped in to my local hobby shop saturday to pick up a few things and noticed they had a whole shelf full of Model Power freight cars marked down to just 5 bucks each. Now normally I would stay away from Model Power but at 5 bucks I figured why not. They already had knuckle couplers. All I needed to do was add metal wheels and do some serious weathering. Here are the results.

N Scale McKinley Explorer coupler idea
So I took the long couplers on one car (both ends) and replaced them with short couplers. This is a much more prototypical appearance and does not effect opperations.

N-Scale Oversized Load
Inspiration- The base of an N scale Bachmann tank car. I thought it looked more like a Heavy Duty flat car so it became the following.
Yes I am aware it is upsidedown that is a glitch on the mobile platform.
Info- A paper tube (would have preferred styrene) between to "flatcars" The photos tell the rest,
Weekend Train Ride
Did a nice train ride this weekend at Niles Canyon between Sunol and Fremont Ca.
