My first Scenery Attempts

Here are some more photos of the scenery for my club layout. This is all in an 18" by 6" scene with backdrops by backdrop junction. This is still the example module I showed awhile ago but more views.

My personal favorite done with flash on an iPhone

My Trip To Kalmbach Publishing

This happened a while ago now but thought it would be interesting to show here. In early June I went to the Model Railroader magazine HQ. Below are some photos of what I saw (and who I met). Overall I met: Alex from Trains Magazine, and Model Railroader: Neil, Cody, Steve and David. (Sorry don't have all last names sorry)

I was able to see all past layouts except the Seaboard Short Line which I was told was sold to a collector.

Source for Micro Magnets

I'm looking for a source for very small magnets, much like those found on the ends of these air hoses from PWRS.

https://www.pwrs.ca/announcements/view.php?ID=7440

I'm having trouble in my search terms. Apparently "small", "mini" and "micro" can mean as big as a dime and I'm looking for much smaller.

Thanks.

Modeler's Tip - Using plastic squeeze bottles to apply ground foam

Many times I want to apply a very small amount of ground foam in a small area.  I've found that using plastic squeeze bottles works well and the bottles don't cost much money.  I get mine at Hobby Lobby and they are $1.99 for a two pack.

Here I'm using the small bottle to add a little turf on the rocks on my waterfall.

Scenery colors... Union Pacific

Hi all.

To be a Portuguese modeler, and loving Union Pacific trains is sometimes overwhelming.

I had enough with the greenish, Christmas look-a-like layouts that I build over the years, and I would like to try something new to me. Yeap, you guessed it, Mike Confalone's BEAUTIFUL Allagash made wonder if I could do something like that, using some of his scenery techniques.

So, here is where my doubts come in:

Bi-directional semaphore signalling

Hi All,

My next project i'm planning at the moment, is the installation of a fully operational semaphore signaling system on my layout.

Now my layout, being based on a prototype location is a bi-directional single track mainline at each end, with a four track station yard.
