Recycling 20+ year old train table
When I was in high school I built a train table using the design in the "HO Railroad that grows" by Linn Westcott. When I expanded the layout i built a second table. Seven or eight years later I dismantled the layout, and threw most of the scenery and track away, but the train tables became storage tables.
Resistors for turnout LED's
Hi All,
Would anyone be able to tell me which way to connect a resistor for 5mm 12 VDC LED's.
I have 14 turnouts and I want to install the LED's for turnout direction. I will be using an old DC controller that has fixed 22 VDC and 18 VAC for the turnouts. Now apparently I can use 1000 ohm 1/4 watt resistors to reduce the voltage down to 12 VDC, but what I would like to know is:
Walther's 90 foot turntable
I have just finished building a Walther's 90 foot turntable kit that I have had for years. See photo. It looks great and rotates reasonably well, but the power to the rails is iffy. I have taken it apart several times to clean the contacts and tighten the arms that rub against the shaft to transfer power. I also bent the contacting metal into a V to avoid interference with the separating washer, but it still gets intermittent power.

CAD Software
This may not be the forum but I thought I would turn to my model train community first. I am looking for some CAD software. I am adept at using computers. I cannot for the life of me figure out CAD software. I want to make some drawings for a structure I am building. I would like to draw a line with my mouse, then click on that line and adjust its properties. Line length etc... I want to be able to build on that line by adding more lines. I have no desire for 3D. I just want to make a simple line drawing. Is there anything like that out there? I want to work in real world dimensions.

Monon RS2 engine
Does anyone know if any manufacturer has produced a HO scale, diesel locomotive in the Monon road name? I would like to locate one if such exist.

Richlawn Railroad Misti Falls fly over
The falls aren't finished; however, I wanted to do a short video (26 seconds) of a "fly over" of the falls to give you an idea of how it looks as static pictures only show a small portion. It was shot with my iPhone(tm) 6 and the focus isn't the greatest.
NCE 0230 mini panel
i saw this while doing research on what system to go with. does anybody use it and exactly how does it work and what for (most commonly)
thanks

Deb and I saw this traveling through Lansing, Iowa a couple days ago on an outing:
