Tight Flangway on Peco HO Turnout

I discovered today that I have a tight flangway on one of my peco turnouts.

I'm looking for suggestions on repairing it in place.

The red square shows the area of tightness. My NMRA track gauge can almost stand up on it's own between the 2 points marked perpendicular to the track..

Any help is appreciated!

Kato P42

I have 2 Kato P42 Amtrak locomotives. One of the wires to one of the motors in each loco has broken, causing, of course, for that motor to not operate and drag. I cannot detect any nic on the wire that might have caused this.  Has anyone else had that problem. The breaks are so close to the motor that it is impossible to skin it and solder a new wire to it.

Thanks. Jim

A brass caboose on the work table

A few weeks ago I purchased this Norfolk & Western caboose of class CG, a model that should run with my freight train of the Thirties with my M2 loco of N&W.

DC vs DCC in the same locomotive........

..........I have always wanted to be able to show people how much better a given locomotive runs with DCC vs DC.  I had just the chance lately when I re-motored and tuned up an old New Jersey Custom Brass O scale Alco S-1 for a friend.

Need ideas for a backdrop

I'm a bit frustrated.  I need to install a double sided backdrop on my layout (13" tall), and thought I could use foam-core poster board.  It was rigid enough, but when I painted it, it started to curl.  Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix that, or do I need to try another material?
