Formula for making "Scenic Glue"

Hey all,

back again with another video, this one is really a basics video that most of us will already be familiar with but for those of us that are new and full of questions hopefully this will answer some of your questions about scenic glue.

It’s basically a simple method of making your own cheap scenic glue using Matte Mod Podge as well as a few demonstrations of the preferred method of applying scenic glue depending on the scenario.

HO brass CANADIAN NATIONAL STEAM LOCOMOTIVE CAB NUMBERS UPDATE

Does anyone have experience with applying HO scale brass numbers to Steam Loco cabs? I have two brass locos and a CNR NW2 that I would like to apply them to. The numbers on the NW2 goes on the front below the grill. I was wondering if I could use the existing decals on the steam locos and just apply the brass numbers over them. I have no dea if this is possible; gluing to a decal.

A day at the Garve and Ullapool Railway part 1

In the next few weeks I will post a small series of films on Youtube.

In these films you can do some trainspotting at the Garve and Ullapool Railway on a autum day in the early 1960s.

For the films I used my timetable, that I made for the last operating session.

Enjoy the film.

Decal setting solution

Does anyone have a formula for home-brewed decal setting solution? Something like Walthers Solvaset or Microscale's Micro-Sol.  I would like to be able to vary the strength and save a few pennies here and there.

Animated Door / Switching Video

Hi All,

This is a follow up to the original in progress build.  The scene still has some final details to be installed.
The Athearn Genesis GP9 is new and in dire need of weathering, but I wanted to use it to showcase the TCS Wow sound decoder installed in it.
Thanks for watching...

What type of glue to use

I recently purchased a Busch concrete model kit. Never having purchased Busch before I was surprised its a cardboard model kit. Question is what type of glue do I use to put this together. I haven't a glue !!

354 Juniper Street

It's Done - 354 Juniper Street - the bungalow gift for Vivian, the wife of my friend and modeling mentor, Bernie Kline, who passed away earlier this month before they could retire to their dream home. Hopefully, now, it will become a cherished memory even as his model railroad "estate" finds new homes.

Updated JMRI/Panel Pro - Panel...

So as part of the consolidation work on the the block wiring I needed to redesign the JMRI Panel Pro - Panel.  The existing layout panel was fairly cluttered and wasn't really going to work well.

Digitrax SE8C - Signal Driver Lists...

As I've been installing the physical signals onto the layout I also have to program them into JMRI to check the wiring install & the subsequent SE8C.

In the Digitrax manual they have a table that lists the ranges of switches for the driver aspects of each SE8C for board number one.

Christmas tree project

My last train setup was when I was about 12 years old.  I'm now 58 and somehow got this wild hair that it would be really cool for my grandkids (and myself) to do an around the Christmas tree layout.  My goal would be to start very simple; possibly nothing more than an oval enhanced by some of my wife's Victorian buildings.  I would like to have the layout on a partial sheet of plywood and just be able to tuck it away until each Christmas rolls around.  My question is this...what the heck are the logistics of setting up and decorating a seven foot artificial tree
