Plans for 52ft FMC "Railbox" series boxcars requested.

Do any members have, or do any members know where I can locate plans for modern box cars such as the FMC 52ft "Railbox" cars?

I'm amazed that with all the modern locomotives available in G scale, there are none of the prolific Railbox prototypes. It grinds my flanges knowing there are ripoff models ( older cars with non prototypical new artwork) being run,so I want to make some myself.

Garve and Ullapool Railway operating session

These weekend it was train time on the Garve and Ullapool Railway.
Despite the usual suspects, some friends and an Rmweb member that lives near Frankfurt joined the operating session.
As usual we started with an english breakfast

Drawing my track plan

Other than pencil and paper, what do you use to draw your track plan in digital format?

Thanks,

Mike

IAIS's West End - Faded UP Glory

Several months ago, I got a great deal on an Athearn Genesis UP GP38-2 in the original UP scheme.  This post documents the steps I took to update this model to represent a battle-worn 2005-era UP unit that operated on the IAIS.

Oct 2015 Act III - Notch 8: Blue box loco handrails upgrade

Whether you are working on an older locomotive with crude wire handrails or a newer unit with thinbrass  plastic railings that won't hold their shape, brass stanchions and railings are a good alternative.  Efram Ellenbogen shows how he installs them on an Athearn "blue box" SD40-2. Watch it now on TrainMasters TV ....

0n30 loco height

What is the height of the typical 0n30 locomotive? Looking at putting in a shared holding yard for the HO and 0n30 railroads. Trains will disappear under a bridge to access this yard.

Loco in question is the Bachman 2-4-4-2, but any loco would probably be close.

Thanks.

TT scale Otter Creek Falls Coal & Lumber Rwy.

I’ve been contemplating the building of a TT scale layout for quite some time now. The original plan was to build the first section and see if I could get it published in one of the major railroad publications. I have instead decided to do an SBS (step by step) and post it to two other forums besides Model Railroad Hobbyist, TTnut and Rail Line Forum.
