My first six months on this contract I didn't have any of my modeling supplies or projects. After a trip home I returned with a whole suitcase of tools, supplies and several freight car projects.

Prototype information

Howdy.

I know a lot of you have found my RGS site useful. Comcast has thoughtfully discontinued all of their website support, so I'm moving to a new server.

Eventually, both rgsrr.info and the (new!) rgsrr.com will work and get you to the site, but for the moment it seems the Comcast-hosted site is down.

I hope to have my site back up this week.

PRR Mail Storage Car

To All: I kitbashed this PRR Mail Storage Car (for transporting magazines and newspapers) by splicing two boxcars together. I painted and lettered the car. It is equipped with signal and air lines and high speed trucks for use in passenger trains. The model and prototype has double the brake components. Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E.
