Are Metal Wheelsets Worth it?
I have rolling stock mainly consisting of older tyco and some trainset quality life-like cars that I am using for my switching layout. They all not have body mounted Kadees and the question remains should I convert them to Metal Wheelsets? I have 18 cars being used on the "layout" and was curious what is the cheapest/most economic way to get enough for them all? I as many of you know have an extremely small budget so whatever help you can give would be appreciated!
Feedback wanted: HO layout bridge route with branchline in 9.6 x 9.0 ft
Hi community members,
After 35+ years of armchair modelrailroading I finally have a room, benchwork almost done and a track plan idea. Now it's time to ask if I'm missing or can improve something? I’ll post this on some different fora to see if I get some good feedback.
Scale: HO
Barrett Hill Touch Toggle Question
Will one touch toggle throw multiple tortoise machines? I have a double crossover with four tortoise machines and I want to use one touch toggles to run all four tortoise's at one time for the crossover. Thanks John

Franklin ( my scenery crew ) works on the cardboard strips. We went to Costco and they gave us large sheets of cardboard they use on the pallets. We ran them through the table saw for strips.
Crew Lounge Facilities - Operational...
Well this week after getting the electrical connections ran and connected the Crew Lounge Facilities are all installed and operational.
There is a small bar fridge, kettle & coffee maker installed to make visiting that little bit more enjoyable and refreshing. There will be room later on for a microwave.
Roadbed width in SCARM
I've been trying out SCARM (latest version). While it does a decent job of displaying track (rails or sleepers or both) I have not found a view for roadbed in 2D mode. It does display roadbed in 3D mode.
Does anyone know what width they are using for the roadbed (for example, Midwest cork is 13/4 in wide, Homabed is 17/8 to 2 in wide)?
Also, is there a setting for seeing roadbed in 2D mode? (It's a feature I like in WinRail).
