Bench work in pencil video tour
Ok, thanks for all the advice, I've incorporated a lot of the ideas and thoughts you all have given me. Just finished drawing out my bench work on the concrete and decided to take a video of the walk around. I know the 2 foot isles are a bit tight, but as I plan to use a roller chair and a T-Rail bench, I'm pretty sure I can get through even while seated.

Ugh, Starting Over
Okay. I concede. After three years of building and redoing I have come to the conclusion that I have made ALL THE MISTAKES. I did not have a plan at the start, or even know where I was going. Just pick out a track plan and go for it. Will now I have way to many problems to try and salvage the layout. The original layout was a Super Pretzel from the Atlas book in HO scale. I modified it by raising some of the tracks for the over and under effect. No real switching opportunities, or much in the way of branch lines.
Multiple Era Layout Decision - Before or After 1954, DT ABS or ST CTC, Steam or Diesel
Hi everyone,
I am modeling the Great Northern in Minnesota in 1954. I am building a 2x10 set of modules currently for a small switching layout and plan on building a larger mainline shelf layout in the future to add on. I am planning the layout to make it so that I can switch between 1954 other eras. This will be for 1-3 operators.

I want to model this Engine in Ho, but I done know where to start.
Need track plan for small layout
I am a newbie and want to setup a small layout due to limit space, HO scale. The base table is approx. 5.2 x 3.4 ft (1.6m x 1.05m) . I am referencing the layout of Noch 18580, which is similar to two circles, but find it a bit boring and this layout is not easy for me to add Faller automatic level crossing kit.
HO scale about to begin construction
HO Scale, room 14 x 20 (mostly) one post (the tree), low ceiling so i'll go low benchwork and use a rolling chair, one 18" radius curve, all others 22 and 24. - Owl (Jared)
Industrial Theme O Gauge Big time Help
Hello Everyone,
Well you can all call me Bob to get that out of the way, I'm a 54 yr old man who gained new found youth in trains when I purchased my very own set as an adult this past xmas, the Silver Bell train set.
I started getting back into the past when my dad built me a table train setup in our basement and after time flew by were here now, so here goes for all the people who share the same passion.
Track Plan Assistance
Hello, I am new to the MHR and could use some assistance. I am looking to build a layout and the space I have to build this in is a 7'x3' connected to a 6.6'x3' in an L pattern. I have been to several sites on the web and only found one Mike's Small Trackplans page that has layouts that will work however the plans on his page are in a format that I am unable to download. Is there any resource out ther that has plans for small space for HO trains.
Thanks in advance

I have come to look forward to using spline road bed for my layout and was looking for feedback on masonite vs homasote and what is the recommended spacing of risers?
Thanks for you thoughts,

Help with signal placement
Looking for some input. I am planning a staging throat that is just around the curve from a passing siding. I am wondering the best placement of signals for this area. My long-term plan is for computer engineer control for all through trains including meets, so I am planning a combination of block occupancy detection as well as IR detection in front of the signals. The block occupancy would drive the signals and the IR would be to stop the train in the right spot in front of the signal.
Here is the actual track layout:
