Dream and design

Looking for layout feedback (with picture this time I hope)
I am designing two 4' x 30" HO scale modules for my use in a modular club. The two modules below represent a small town on the Ieft-side module and some industries on the right-side module. The top four rail lines are open on each end for other modules to connect to them.
I believe I have some good "timesaver" type switching possibilities for the industries, but I would like your feedback, especially any flaws you may see. The grid squares in the picture are 1" squares.
Thank you,
Al
Feedback on Shelf Layout
I'm starting on my first layout, a 18 in by 13ft Shelf Layout. I'm modeling a paper mill serviced by the Chessie System in the late 70's early 80's. I'm basing the mill on the local mill near Pensacola, FL as far as what traffic I'll be switching. I've settled on this design and looking for feedback if there is anything missing or that I might add.

Train Layout in 'Attic' of a Garage
There was recently a subject thread started that concerned itself with sloping/slanted roofs over portions of a train layout space. It got me to remembering one of the interesting articles (of many) I have saved from older Model Railroader mags (what a great inspiration some of these older mags can be.
This particular article was in an Aug 1984 issue, and titled 'Making Room for Making Tracks'. Basically the fellow created an attic in his 2 car garage.
Can a staging area be on a slight grade, 1.5% or less?
I have an ideal location for a staging area on the layout I will soon be building. The area is hidden, but not level. The grade is less than 1.5%. Is there a way I can still put in a staging area along that stretch of track (about 8 feet)?
Thanks for your input and ideas.
Serial staging in a helix versus staging yard
I've been giving some thought to the type of staging I plan to use on the "south" end of my layout. My north end staging is a 5 track yard below the lower level of the layout. It works well and is reliable. My "south end" staging will be associated with the helix that will connect the upper and lower decks. I'm of two minds on how to deal with the staging here.

Rhubarb Pie and FAST Steam Engine, World War II
A note from my older next door neighbor here in Florida, who is in great anticipation of seeing my new train layout up and running :)
He is American, but grew up in England during the London bombing of WWII. He still has a British accent,...great guy.

How do you plan sidings and spurs along a grade?
Let's assume a layout being made for operating, with a long section of track on a continouous grade of 2% (an incline, nolix...doesn't matter).
How does one deal with sidings and spurs that need to be placed along that grade that serve various industries when the track is continuously climbing up? What if there's a need for a small yard, or an interchange?
Does one level the grade, add the additional trackwork to accomodate industries on a flat portion, then continue the grade?; or

Make Sectional Track in larger lengths and larger radius
I would like to make some 'sectional type track' in larger lengths, and bigger curves' than what you can purchase. And I figure to make it out of flex track.
Unlike the situation where you are laying flex track out on a layout roadbed and attaching it to the roadbed, and nailing or glueing it in down in place, I'm looking to have some 'sectional tracks' that are a very consistant curves, and in larger lengths than we normally think of.
So how do I make up these larger sections from normal HO flex track code100??

New LDEs for Critique
Hello again,
I have re-worked my LDEs on all 3 decks based on some of the suggestions from the other thread (Classification Yard next to Staging?)
Please take a look at them and give me your critique/opinion about the general arrangement, operational aspects, and anything else that comes to mind. Everything should be self-explanatory, as it is marked in the LDEs.

Multiple Staging Areas & access to them (perhaps sub-loop in the helix)
I'm designing a new double-deck layout to fit inside my 12x16 'train shed'. It will have an 'outdoor' helix structure,... outside the main shed, but in its own enclosure.
It will have shelf's on either side, and a peninsula. For the longest time I had been planning for a 6-8 track staging area to be located approx 8" under ONE of the side shelfs,...perhaps like this
