9.5 years later we are getting more of our Helix closed in.  Step by step of the whole process.  About 98% finished. Enjoy.  Hope this helps some one.  

Hello having grown up South east NH,I have grown attached to early Guilford.Now living in Central Pa for the last 9yrs I have developed an interrest in the Reading and Northern (RBMN). So my new layout will be named the Guilford and Reading Northern. The theory is Guilford never got rid of the DH, and through various legal and fiancial manouvers, Guilford gained control of certain lines of the RBMN with a direct cinnection at Taylor Yard near Scranton Pa.

I’m repowering and installing DCC sound in an LMB McKeen Car and I’d like to finish it to appear as in the photo on page 244 of Mac Gregor’s South Pacific Coast sitting in front of the Ben Lomond depot circa 1912. Can anyone guide me to realistic modeling paint colors suitable for airbrushing? I have it on good authority fron Fred at the Pasadena Whistle Stop that the body was Pullman Green. The roof and the trucks are in question. 

This is a great opportunity to upgrade those old decoders to a Tsunami 2.

Doing the article for MRH put some more motivation in me to get some work done on the layout. I've been spending a lot of time lately on getting cars and locomotives built, detailed and weathered. I'll be at the N Scale Convention in Salt Lake City in a few weeks displaying models and entering them in the contest. When I need a break from that, I've been working on backdrops and getting the Blythe Branch operational.

I would like to hear from those who have detached building as a train room such as yard barns,ect. I have to admit when I was up north I never liked the idea. The thought of walking out in the cold and through the snow never appealed to me. Now that im down here in Florida Im starting to warm to the idea. Im interested in hearing about problems, size, built on site or pre-built. Ive been thinking about going through a rent to own dealer that delivers the completed structure to your property.

So, moving in to the house is going well. I was able to easily transport my shelf layout over. I remember my last layout would have been a bear to move. Very thankful my 'OSB under blue foam and overbuilt' days are over! 

Next order of business is to get the shelf layout segment back on the wall. I will get that segment up to running condition in no time. It just needs to be mounted and plugged in really.
