The future of SouthRiver Model Works detail parts.
First, we saw the FSM detail line sold. Now we see Bob Van Gelder selling his line. So these amazing detail parts are still available, in fact, we might get a more relaxed ability to buy parts.

You might be a model railroader if...
You might be a model railroader if you walk around your yard collecting leaves from last fall in a garbage bag... and then you store that garbage bag in your basement.

When you are just starting out you tend to plan out as much as possible because being new, one can make many more mistakes so it does take a while to get going. But it is good to start starting the start of the layout and purposely leave somethings to when you only get around to it. "I'll cross that bridge when i come to it. For me this is that time and it looks difficult. Any suggestions?
Happy Birthday Joe !
Hopefully you will get to do some fun railroading today...either real or model ( that does NOT include tearing out the Siskiyou ! ). Enjoy the day !

Busch HO 5934 Crossing Signals
Need help! I’ve lost the instructions on how to wire Busch HO scale crossing signals. I plan on wiring them to an on/off switch so they can be controlled manually and power them with either a 9 volt battery or transformer. I’ve got three wires coming from each flasher and I know that the Black is the common. The flasher controller has one red and one yellow wire.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Tim
The difficult decision to model something different
I was born and raised in Las Vegas and for the past 10 years I have been building a model railroad based on the Central Nevada mining railroads of the WWI era. I love researching these railroads and then designing a building a model that brings it to life again. Finding Myrick's books on railroads of Nevada while in college is what led to my life-long interest in railroad history and model railroads.

Good news!
Well, I have some good news. My fiance are moving into a new house. I now have an insulated garage to work in. I will move the existing layout to its new home and expand on it. No longer will my work bench be my dining room table. I am very excited about the possibilities here. I am most certainly going to keep with the narrow design and I hope to have continuous run(my son would like that) and some hidden staging.
