Cookie Cutting or Spline

I did a bit cookie cutting for the layout recently but I do have a few more curves coming up and i'm liking the spline idea. I downloaded "Run like a Dream" recently, and was thinking if anyone has had or find this easy to do. Being in Australia  we don't seem to have homasote  but looks like it is absorbent material. Being new at this hoping to avoid making the wrong choice but the fun is trying different stuff out to see if it works. James

My current favorite podcast

We often get podcasts jump in and out of the hobby. Like the original Scotty Mason show I loved it, I still listen to it regularly as I have archived all the casts.

Recently I connected with these guys and have been listening ever since. It is a great podcast about modeling, not modeling plans, or fancy stories. Real modeling with thoughts on techniques and participating in the hobby they love.

Staging Deck Development has begun...

So given the cold & wet weather that has descended on Melbourne today I decided to finish off the day in the warmth of the house and begin designing the staging level for the layout.

14"x 10' shelf layout

I decided I would share my experiences building my shelf layout. this is my third layout. My first layout was.....well, my first layout. I didn't know much but it was a good first step. My second, well, I had a room dedicated to an around the walls shelf layout with a peninsula. I only got as far as building the bench work. My marriage dissolved and I had to tear it down. Now, I have a lot less space, but a perfectly unusable space for anything else. So, its not the biggest, but it is surely turning out to be my most fun layout. I started about a month or so ago.

Part 4 - The Union Station Passenger Cover Project is Completed

Knifes

Guys,

I'm looking for some really sharp blades for a locomotive project I'm getting ready to start. Was told to look for surgical blades but coming up empty, big hands, little handles. Does anybody have leads to a purchase source for me.

Looking for a chisel style blade that is much narrower than a standard #17 blade.

VAL-U Fuels & Oil | Showcase miniatures HO Scale

I just received this kit.

Now after years of making unboxing videos and never releasing them, I am finally releasing my first. Now I do not have an affiliation with Showcase, I am friends with the co-designer of this kit Jason Jenson. This guy is set to become the next Selios. And I am prepared to fight for that opinion.

VAL-U Fuels & Oil by Showcase miniatures in HO Scale an unboxing video.
