My grandpa operated one of these up to his retirement years. I remember him taking me and my brother to work with him. I wish I was old enough to take pictures. Since I have many shays like he operated, I decided why not the diesel?

I made the plunge lately and decided to show the steps I had to take to repair my Bachmann 3 truck Climax locomotive. The loco wouldn't move, except for rods and cylinder assembly(s). These are pretty nice locos with amazing details, it was no easy trick to take it apart without damaging it.
