Train Wrecks?

I just got an eMail from Kalmbach with the subject "What if something went wrong on the tracks?",  trying to sell me "Train Wrecks"  -  the 100 worst train wrecks.   But what I want to see is the "What if something went wrong with the benchwork?" when Famous Power Tool Accidents Illustrated comes out with their model railroading issue.

A new toy for Benny

I just saw this. Benny will want one to help with layout construction. Imagine much smaller ones doing layout maintenance! cheeky

TWO DOWN AND COUNTING

The GRANDE PACIFIC MODEL RR has seen its second eye of a hurricane. Isaac made it very slow pass on Wed morning. I am happy to say this time their was no damage. Gustave in 2008 took all of the new shingles off of roof. This is just another one of those things you have to plan for when building a place for your railroad. Building has now been hit by 125 mph winds. Isaac beat on us for over seven hours with winds of 60 to 70 mph gust. Visit www.grandepacificmodelrr.org and you will see the construction pictures of the building.

AC4400 VERSUS CATZILLA

You ever have one of those "Man i wish i had the camera rolling moments!' ? Well tonight i went over to a friends house to watch him operate his HO scale layout. Things were rolling well untill train #104 a 25 car double stack train led by 3 UP AC4400 sound equiped locos headed into tunnel #1. Unkown to the engineer, Catzilla had taken up refuge inside the tunnel. Well, you want to talk about the shocked out of your mind treatment? This was for sure the most shocking operating expirence of my life!
