I just saw this. Benny will want one to help with layout construction. Imagine much smaller ones doing layout maintenance!

The robotic machining piece I'm waiting for is the robot that is able to manufacture itself.  Yes, this robot would need a fierce array of machines within it, but the ultimate application is homemade, well, everything!

...is the first thing I thought of. 

maybe moving rolling stock to and from the layout and storage...
