Double track using Unitrack

Intending to lay Unitrack N gauge and use 315mm radius as the largest curve. There will be a double track section and on the curves I will use the 282mm curve on the inside. From one track to other I want to use #6 turnouts. But 2 say#6 LH wouldn't give the correct track centre. What is the answer to this? Hope you can understand my problem - no hobby shop within 400 miles to me

Electrical Liquid Tape as a Light Gap Sealer!

I posted this earlier in the MR general forum, but it worked so well that I thought it might be worth repeating here:

Applying that "Real Dirt" to a layout - video

Of course, this is for those interested in using real dirt as ground cover. No wives with rolling pins in this one though. Enjoy. http://youtu.be/vWqM5Dv1MA0

Traincat SP caboose help needed....

Hey everyone, I know that Bob can be really busy, and I did try emailing him, but I got no reply.

Couple of quick questions, I have figured out most of the parts (none removed from the brass sprue)...

1: where is the frog light and stand?
2: were is the smokestack?
3: where is the brake line that runs front to back?

I don't understand why the second place bidder from the first auction didn't snap up the "bargain priced"  second listing?

How do you spell shill bid??

Hmm............

Brass track value...

It's time to sell off my old brass track and switches. Lots of Atlas snap track, some brass flex, and several switches.  I'm keeping some to use as trackside detail, loads, etc., but I have a bunch I need to get rid of. This is all the stuff I bought 25-30 years ago when I built my first layout. I also have several MRC dc power packs from back then, with momentum and brakes.  Any idea of what this stuff is worth? I plan to take it all to a local train show.

thanks

Randy

Rio Grande Southern website - lots of photos & history, major update completed...

I've finally completed a major update of photo links on my Rio Grande Southern historical website - something like 3000 photos links to the Denver Public Library (and others), which were broken w/ recent re-orgs.  This was weeks of manual edits... ugh!

Please enjoy!  If you haven't been there before, my site contains:

Anyone think this stuff might be useful?

Thought this might be an interesting material to experiment with, the thicker stuff seems rigid enough to perhaps play a role in sound control?  They also have a number of other things that might have their uses. http://www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/Kaizen-Foam-p13435.htm
