Wife is calling... Take Care,
Finish for Hand-Laying Track
hey there, I'm building my first HO layout with handlaid track for real (I did some experiments about 20 years ago, but they're not going to count). I have a number of questions that I don't have good answers for yet.

DCC Uncoupers - Let's talk about them!
So there was a post about a fascinating product that disappeared, so let's try again...
DCC uncouplers are coming!
This video is from August 2015:
There is a website for the product but no English content so far: http://www.smart-coupler.com/
There is however a Japanese page: http://www.smart-coupler.com/#!homejapanese/cmil

Penn Lake 8: Building the Buildings (Update 10/18/16)
One of the benefits of maintaining mostly the same theme, is I can reuse nearly all my large buildings. Some of them need altered somewhere to fit the their new locations. Luckily I cataloged their construction, so I could match the paint. Also because some of them are sizable, I'm placing them as I lay track so that everything meshes properly. Added bonus...they come off the storage shelves...allowing me to put other stuff on the shelves.

Frog construction with juicer
I’m handlaying my track and would like input from other modelers who do the same and have used Tam Valley frog juicers.
I like the look of the frog / wing rails where they aren’t filled with solder and flange grooves cut with a hack saw blade. I think the open look is much more appealing. Since I need to isolate the frog area and am using TV juicers, I’m curious how other modelers who’ve hand laid open have wired for the juicer.
what locomotive not to buy in ho scale ?
Hi I am thinking about jumping on N-SCALE and moving to HO scale and I would like to know which locomotives brands to avoid. I am using NCE dcc and do know how to convert locos. I am a steam person and some early diesel. I have converted and repaired some N-SCALE locomotives.have been in model railroading for a while. Any help on this matter would be helpful. Thank you

Uncoupling - what method do you use?
There are various methods to uncouple depending on scale and type of coupler.
What scale and type of coupler are you using and how do you uncouple?
What other methods have you tried but stopped or avoid using and why?
