Rolling stock rail scale and scale house
I would like to model a rail scale, based on early 1900s narrow gauge. Does anyone know of a kit or has photos how they modeled a rail scale and Fairbanks Morse scale house for rolling stock/are cars??
Thanks

I am currently working on my HO D&RGW Steel 61-ft Baggage car (700-739) kit. My problem is that i can*t get any information about the on the appearance of the Hand-brake (a so-called tunnel type Hand Brake System). Do perhaps anyone have an idea where i could obtain a good picture, information or a drawing on this?

Experiments with DCC++
DCC++ is an exciting and useful development that I hope catches on with more users.
A while ago Dave Bodnar posted that he had experimented with DCC++ and showed his development of a high power boosted based on an Arduino and a motor shield. This interested me and I investigated and spoke with Dave about this booster.

Stripping paint from metal.
I have a brass and white metal kit locomotive that was assembled using CA. It was painted with old formula Floquil. I want to strip it. I know Acetone removes CA, how will lacquer thinner react with the CA? Any danger of the locomotive falling apart?
