Some sweet narrow stuff from Oz
Hi all,
Following on from a deviation into why stuff was painted red under German steam locomotives at http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/27636?page=56 where I posted the following :
The red paint was for more than just being pretty. for 3 reasons

Prototype scene here
I took this photo last March after a light snow freshened up the landscape. A friend said it would make a great Christmas card, so here it is, Shown is Canadian National (IC) GP38-2 9605:

Christmas Diorama Progress
It's been over two weeks since my last progress report on this (click here for that), but with Christmas closing in, I've been busy trying to get this done in time. After "snow gooping" the next step is to do the fascia and use some foamcore to support the town buildings, create sidewalks, and define streets. I also used it to raise the town park area.

SPSF Meadow Sub: Kodachrome GP35 Custom Paint Project
This blog details the custom building, detailing, painting, and weathering of a Kato GP35 for my fantasy SPSF model railroad.

Night Moves
CN RS-3 #3900 (Atlas HO with ESU LokSound Full Throttle) moves a couple 40' cars. Testing the low light filming capabilities of an iPhone 6s.
What is this structure
Years ago, I built this structure after seeing it in a photo in a field near a train track. It seemed it wasn't being used anymore and there was no indication in its surroundings what it may have been, as tall grass was around the area of the structure.
Anyway, I liked the look and saved it from my last layout and would like to place it in a field on my new layout - Stonehammer branch line terminus: http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/28481

Chicago, Indianapolis, Louisville Freight Car Roster
I have been told that before the Monon switched their name from the CIL, that their freight cars had a different numbering system than that of the MON. I am unable to any information in regards to this. I do have a listing of the freight car roster under the MON suffix but not the CIL. Where can I find such information?

Control the World with Arduino
I've been posting a lot of analog circuits lately, and while these are primarily chosen because of the concepts involved rather than the actual result, there is always an underlying question-- "would this be easier as an Arduino project?"
Make It Run Like a Dream
Joe,
I complement you on you work on this book Make It Run Like a Dream. There are some real jewels in it. Some of what was there I knew from past experience or having seen elsewhere. You did say that this was a compilation of material and knowledge that heretofore had not been assembled in one place.
