UT4R battery leads +/- ??
Hi all, I have a Digitrax UT4R that the battery wires came off of the circuit board. Can anyone tell me which is the positive and which is the negative? Looking at the PC board from the back of the throttle in the upright position, is it the left inboard tab or the right outboard tab.
I am replacing the SPDT switch and accidentally pulled the short wires off the board. Thanks!

Digitrax Throttle upgrades
I have always been a pro Digitrax user as the loconet architecture is so widely and universally helpful for computer control with other manufactures. With that said, They have had my first 2 throttles for 30 working days and still are not complete. Is this normal, do they wait till the last day to upgrade them? Whats it take to pop these open, remove a pc board and slap a new in? Service is part of business, do they get it?
Thanks for rant
Mike
A splash of paint makes all the difference
The past couple of weeks have been spent completing the front fascia profile boards, and subsequently flushing them off, and painting.
Last weekend, my wife offered to paint the backscenes and fascias - now I truly hate painting, so I don't turn down an offer for help - the photos show the improvement.
With painting complete, the freshly manufactured station signage was able to be installed at Mt Lofty also.
Broken Body Shell Tabs
I raised this question about broken body shell tabs on Rob in Texas's blog here on MRH. At his friendly insistence he wanted me to post some pictures in an effort to help me out. I didn't want to sidetrack his blog though, so I thought I'd raise the topic here in a separate post. Thanks Rob!
One of the first engines I bought when switching to HO scale was an Atlas U30c diesel. Over time (and probably due in large part to my ineptitude as a modeler then) some of the tabs that hold the body to the frame have broken.

Steam Era Freight Car Group
What Gives:
A few weeks ago I read on a forum post about the Steam Era Freight Car Group and I thought it would be a good place to get detailed info on modeling freight cars. I submitted my app, but never got any reply. Until yesterday when I got this from Yahoo - I guess.
A change of pace - decalling some boxcars
With my VIA combine off to get painted I'm in a bit of a lull in modelling. I don't want to undertake another big project as I would like to finish the combine. I'm venturing into new territory with the crazy idea of actually finishing something.
My Test Module
Be cause I have ripped up my old layout and am wanting to build a new one based on the Illinois Terminal and their interurbans, I have decided to build a "test module" help me as I go though this new process.
Round 2
Hi all,
I'm looking for any thoughts or suggestions for the most recent version of my HO logging layout ( the first version is at http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/28454 ).
The area is based on British Columbia / 1930-40, with inspiration taken from a few logging lines of the Pacific Northwest especially the Capilano Timber Co. which ran out of North Vancouver. I wanted to model a point-to-point plan including a logging camp with a few facilities, log trains running through tree-filled terrain and a dirty, industrial port area.
