Highway Bridge Construction Techniques - 1940's timeline

Hey All,

I'm getting to a point where I will be starting some scenery work on my HOn3 empire, specifically at my Chama River bridge area.  I will be 'creating' a scene where the Highway 17 road bridge will actually be near the D&RGW Chama River bridge.  I thought that this might be nice to incorporate a different scene to the layout.

Weird question about MBKlein Shipping.

This is a strange question. Has anyone had stuff shipped by MB Klein? Do they usually ship from Hawaii? I ordered something from them the other day and I keep getting USPS notifications of a parcel on its way to me from Hawaii. I just find it odd is all.

Roadbed or no roadbed?

I'm to the point of laying roadbed and track on the main level of my layout.

Consisting consists: Helpers.

I think I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway.

Do the DCC manufacturers not support consist consisting yet?  (I currently have an NCE Power Pro and setup up my consists as Advanced Consist)

I ask because what I want to do is run my trains with three units in a consist, with three units as helpers in their own consist. At the summit (Tennessee Pass) I would cut off the helpers and return them to Minturn.

The first locomotive for the Willamette Western RR

Okay, so I got my new decals from Bill B. a few days ago, and I've been slowly working on the first locomotive to wear the new name.

It's an Atlas Trainman GP39-2, and it was selected because, well... it was closest at hand. It was the unit that I just put the LokSound Select Direct into. It (#2309, "Philomath") and it's brother #2307 "Independence" are also much less detailed (less to break) than their Athearn Genesis brethren... and thus less nerve wracking to work on.

Where to buy AMvs rail rod?

Scott Perry's very interesting idea on a "Living" railroad using Arduino

This is from Scott Perry's blog and very interesting.  It's a bit of read, but worth it. Scott is a close friend of mine and his idea may revolutionize model railroading.  What do you think?  Please check out Scott's blog and tell him your opinion.

Need help/advice please Re: Choice of locomotive control

Hi,

Just planning on getting back into the hobby after some years away and have about 10 or 12 locomotives kicking around ( Mostly older Athearn over 20 years old and none DCC. )
