Eastern California V2.0 Update #2

A quick update for the second week of construction.  Track work has come to a grinding halt while I install the Faller Car System in what will be Downtown Los Angeles.

The system uses a small wire embeded in the road for equipped cars to follow using magnets.

Looking for wire rope/cable. Found!

A little back ground before my question. I'm currently scratchbuilding a former Great Northern Snow Dozer in 1/29

ITLA Scale Models Cooper's Alley build

Fresh in from the Post Office with another laser cut wood kit. I am going to build some parts of this kit on camera. But not all of it. Just the parts where I am doing a technique unique to my building.

First note is, if you built one of the early ITLA kits, and found the instructions,... lacking. The new kits have much, much better instructions.

Looking for Model Railroad Planning 2010

Hi,

I'm looking for a copy of Model Railroad Planning 2010. I'm particularly interested in Paul Dolkos's new Baltimore Harbor design. Please contact me offline if you have one for sale (loumickie@msn.com).

Thanks,

Lou

Dull Coat Preference

What preference do you prefer on using dull coat paint, shaker can or air brush and why  I read where some use Krylon 1310 dulling, but when reading Krylon literature it says wipes off .  Cans of Dull coat spray seems to go fast. $$   Thanks Zeke

Rapido RDC SP-10 -- Adding an ESU PowerPack Mini

Last week I added an ESU PowerPack (a.k.a. current keeper) to the Rapido RDC SP-10. I'm really satisfied with the outcome, however there is a little important twist so I would like to explain how to do it.

Completing a Ho layout in 15 days...almost done**Updated**

First a little back story. For those of you have seen my Madras Oregon Switching Layout  I had eluded to the fact that I was no longer going to use it at my office and I would be posting about a new project, well here it is. I had been asked by my company to build a much larger layout for training purposes in our new training center.

A little bit of progress on the Office Park zone

With all the activity around the holidays, I didn't get too much done on the Office Park zone.  I've been spending most of the time over the last month or so just operating the layout, with a lot of focus on tinkering with OperationsPro settings.
