Configuration of a 1950's era steam engine servicing area?
I am designing a freestyle layout that will model the N&W and Southern RR operations in North Carolina & Virginia in the late 1950's/ early 1960's.
The layout I am designing will have a switching yard that will include a turntable and roundhouse. I also want to include a realistic steam engine serving area, as well as diesel servicing area.

Sectional layout in layout design software?
In my latest MRH blog thread here, I discuss my desire to design my new layout using sections I would keep intact if I move again and then other sections to connect them that I could trash and build differently to connect the saved sections to fit a different room configuration.

BLI SW1500 Decoder Wiring
I picked up a BLI Paragon 2 Decoder with hopes of using it in another sw1500 but the wires coming from the harnesses aren't labeled well. Does anybody have a diagram for wiring on of these decoders? Or even some good pictures of one of these decoders still in a loco?

S Scale ALCO C420
Introducing S Scale's only ALCO Century series locomotive. Here are some photos of D&H ALCO C420 no. 404 fresh out of the paint shop. The locomotive was scratch built using brass and styrene shapes. The cab, long and short hoods, draft gear, end ladders, and other components were 3D printed. Commercially available drive parts and truck side frames were also used.

Old style phones
The time is fast approaching to begin minimal operations on my layout. But before I can do that I need a way of communicating between the dispatcher and the yard operators and cabin (tower) operators and such.
This means I need a telephone system, As such I have done a bit of research on the net and the info is hard to find, and tends to disagree with each other. And finding the actual hardware seams even harder. That being said any advice would be a help.
