TOMA Ideas in practice

I have been wanting to explore what can be done with 48" sections - module style without fixed end connections - or The One Module Approach or TOMA.

Now that I have actually started to create sawdust it is clear that some more forethought would have been benifitial. Not too late though as this is a chainsaw. Some of my concerns may be no big deal but I thought I'd post them here for your imput.

AHM Diesel locomotive repair

Hello everyone,

I'm back again with another locomotive. This time it is an AHM diesel locomotive. The road name is Chicago and Eastern Illinois. Blue and orange. I know that these were not the best locos, and it may not be worth it, but i would like to try to get it to run again. When powered, there is no response. already checked track and all that, the issue is with the loco. there is a loose wire under the shell, i don't know where it goes. i will post pictures later. Any help is appreciated.

A few military reporting marks

A few days ago while reading through one of the many postings I came across the post for Ashland Maine.
The sixth image that Chris posted REALLY caught my attention BRAR 14132. It appears to be a salute to our troops.

Mid - June Update

A few months ago (before getting heavily involved in the Union Station project), I decided to move the oil loading platform from its original position in the middle of Elizabeth City (Tulsa) to a more open (and larger)  area on the opposite end of the upper level of the peninsula.  The picture above shows the new location.

DCC review for possible issues

Good day everyone, I have been working on a slightly larger version of this track plan but the track work remains the same, just the left and the right sides of the layout are longer.  This design was in MR in the early 90s and was at that time wired for DC.

Can anyone see any possible areas for concern when wiring this layout to DCC?  Any specific areas I should isolate or require an Auto Reversing module?  I don't clearly see any areas but being new to wiring a DCC layout I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thank you in advance.

Making a landing from scratch

Hi!

I made a landing as a first attempt to get started with wooden scratch building. Not much to post maybe, but I was kind of happy with the result, so here goes anyway! :)

I made a video tutorial showing the construction of the landing:

Fastening ME and CVT Flex Track to Homasote and/or Cork Roadbed

Good evening.

What method(s) is currently in vogue for fastening Micro Engineering Flex Track and Central Valley HO Tie Strips to Homasote or Cork Roadbed?

Would prefer a method that allows the Flex Track and Tie Strip to be easily moved and/or removed..

Thank you.
