A few months ago (before getting heavily involved in the Union Station project), I decided to move the oil loading platform from its original position in the middle of Elizabeth City (Tulsa) to a more open (and larger)  area on the opposite end of the upper level of the peninsula.  The picture above shows the new location.

To begin the project, I had to find some of the leftover parts from the walkways that were used for Union Station passenger waiting room building.  The leftover parts from one walkway set had been used to create the original one. Additionally, any parts that were needed, but missing in the leftover pile, could be made with the 3D printer.  In this case, two walkway supports and additional pipes were needed.

In the video below, other items, such as tops for PVC storage tanks were 3D printed to replace card stock tops and three new storage tanks were designed and 3D printed (mainly as an experiment) for possible use on the layout.  An update on the status of the Union Station project is also included in the video.
