Need help identifying diode

I have this 1n5408 rectifier diode on my throttle system. It has what appears to be a M below the number on it.

I'm trying to figure out what this means. I think it is a 3A , but don't know what Volt it is. When I look it up on the net, a 1n5408 shows (3A 1000V).

My Layout design Blog

If you have been reading my blogs you know I have been doing most of my model railroading on a club layout and building models for my future layout. Now it is time to begin the design work on the layout and the structure that will house it. This will be a bit unusual in that I am not going to be filling the space with track work diagrams and the related flipping and shifting of components that seems to follow these things. At least initially it will be more strategic than tactical. Goals for the layout will be established, givens and druthers will also be addressed and operational aspects.

Auction score

I scored these np cars at a local auction. Total was 58.00. I an partial to NP and GN.for some reason details look fuzzy but they are very nice.

CP Arbutus Spur in Vancouver BC

The Canadian Pacific Arbutus spur lasted until May 2001.  It had a long history as both an interurban line as well as a freight line for the BC Electric, BC Hydro and Canadian Pacific Railway.  It had a lot to offer both in the historic and modern eras.  It would be a nice small switching layout.  More here:

where to order diesel locomotive detail parts?

Hello everyone

I am in need of some detail parts for my current GP15 build. You know detail associates details west, that kind of thing, I can order the parts off Ebay but I end up ordering from 6 or 7 different venders and it's just to hard to keep up with all of them. I would gladly go to my local hobby shop if there was one near me. do you know of a good "one stop shop" on the interwebs that I could go through?

Thank you so much, folks - Craig
