Modeling a weed spray train
Does anyone know where I could find information about weed spray trains? ie: the types of cars in the train and their look and/or features and dimensions? I wonder if any prototype information has ever been published in past years? Any help would be appreciated.

Tie Material
I have 2 old drafting boards. Both are made of some sort of soft wood with a metal rim on them. They were looking for a new home within my own house and while carrying then around it occurred to me that I have seen these at garage sales and in what are called locally antique malls. That's where folks can rent a space around 8x8 and sell their stuff.
My thought concerning these boards, is they could make a pretty good source for making your own ties if you had a way to cut them up.

Quality acceptance of 3D prints versus injection molded models
I'm interested in what modelers think about the acceptance of 3D prints versus injection molded models, especially with rolling stock? I've been 3D printing for a while now and at first I was leery of the quality because of the layering. But I've changed my perspective because after I paint and weather my 3D models (HO scale) I hardly notice any layering. The layering this still there, I just don't notice.

SMA40 Modeling with Magnets: Working MU Connections, Brake Hoses, Structure Mounts & Boxes
I was fascinated when I read about Fairway Park Model Products automatic/magnetic air hose couplings for HO scale cars (now offered as PWRS MagnaLock Brake hoses) some eight years ago, because I had tried to build the same myself years before with no joy.

IAIS's 4th Sub - Layout tour
Now that the stained ties make it easier to see the tracks, I thought I'd do a quick drone tour to show how everything fits together on the new layout. Photos to follow in the first reply, but here's the layout plan again to help make sense of it all.

The path towards no more track cleaning
A simple hack, a cleaning car or a liquid will not be anyones solution to the track cleaning problem. In this video I´m presenting root causes, preventive actions and my experience of different types of cleaning.
Diorama Fascia Alternatives
Working on a small bridge diorama, I would like to clean up the pink foam sides with a finished look. Are there alternatives to a board fascia? Something I could smooth and level on the face and follow up with paint?

The Elusive - RDG SD45 Extended Cab...
For the last two weeks I’ve been working on a project that has been somewhat of an elusive thing for most Reading Railroad modellers.
