Gas and Oil Industries
I have the Walters "McGraw Oil Company" and "Tank Car Oil Loading Platform" kits, as well as a Model Power "Natural Gas Supply Company" kit. Can these two "industries" (Oil and Gas) be placed side-by-side in the same area, or are they prototypically in two separate areas?
Also, is there a difference between an oil tanker car and a natural gas tanker car?
Thanks, Grampy
Adding mortar lines in Nscale.
I model in N scale and do a lot of scratchbuilding. One thing I have had very little experience with is adding mortar to brick walls. I am currently modeling an old station of the big four line. I want to paint the brick but I also wanted to add mortar lines to the structure. I have seen some info on this but it is always in larger scales. What technique(s) do you guys use? I mainly paint my buildings with inexpensive acrylic paints and have been very pleased with the results. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Manns Creek Narrow Gauge in On3
Welcome to my first entry for what will be the blog on my new Manns Creek Railway in On3. I started build in On30 a little more than 10 years ago as a diversion from working in HO scale. At the time I had built a fictional railroad in HO scale called the Roanoke and Southern, which was featured in the May 2010 issue of MR. by the time my article was published is was firmly hooked on O scale narrow gauge. Although if first started constructing models in On30 (O scale models with 30" track gauge) I soon widened the gauge out to On3 (O scale models w
Ho Scale Vineyard... Mistakes were Made
If we learn from our mistakes, next time, we're a genius.
What N-gauge diesel to buy?
After 20 years out of the hobby I am now back and building a DCC++ N-scale 4' x 2' switching layout with cassette staging to left and right. The layout will be freelance and I am pretty lax as to specific time-frame or rail line. Being in Canada, though, I have a preference for CN and/or CP equipment. The layout will principally switch cars but will also have through-freight and passenger trains to add interest.

A Working Lighthouse
Our club exhibition layout is a work in progress and on one of the 16 modules we decided to feature a Bar Mills kit “Hunch Landing” (a small fishing wharf/harbour).
The module also hosts one of the exits from staging and this needed to be concealed with a deep cutting/tunnel.

Building interiors
I have recently completed several DPM structures. I would like to download photos that I can use for the interior of these buildings. I would appreciate knowing of any website that you would recommend for this project.

Installing StayAlive/KeepAlive in a LokSound 5 DCC decoder
I've searched the internet, can't find a picture or diagram of where to connect a currentkeeper to a LokSound 5 DCC decoder. I make my own StayAlives and acquired a loco with this decoder. I've done these installs in other decoders without the JST 2 pin plug but this is a first for me with a LS 5.
I 've looked at the sbs4dcc.com site but it only shows 3.5 and 4.0 installs, same think for Marcus Ammann site at members.optusnet.com
Jacksonville Spur Layout Update
Hello everyone, I have finished installing and detailing the road. Also repainted and added details to warehouse buildings. Next project will be making the electric poles more realistic and adding better plastic pellet silos.

Progress on the Maryland Midland
It has been a while since I have posted anything, but there has been some progress. Track is completely laid and wired, the backdrop is coming along and trains are running. Some scenery is started and an operational scheme is being developed.
