Miniature Wonderland Netherlands version - Madurodam
Just so I can compete with pipopak
I have mentioned this place in other areas, but I felt that it would be favorable to add it as a separate blog entry. I visited here in 1983 and, although quite large at that time, it has grown quite a bit since then. It is located on the outskirts of The Hague (Den Haag), toward the Northwest just a few miles (kilometers).

Static grass applicator. Yet another design.
I have wanted to have one of these static grass applicators for a while now and I must have googled everything there is to read about them.
When I finally got to action I choose the easiest way, the flyswatter/tea strainer version. I shorted the bleeding resistor and tried both with and without bypassed filter capacitor. But I was not happy with the result. The flock just fell down. I noticed that there was some kind of static field as the majority of fibers stood up. But not nearly enough to be a good result.

All connections have been checked – as per instructions.
