Modeling topic
Benchwork question
I am starting the design of a new layout. mostly around the walls but there will be two 'enlarged peninsulas ' for lack of a better term. These areas will form a large roughly U shape out from the walls. I want the benchwork to be free standing, but not module type boxes so I can free form the geometry. I also don't want the typical four legs supporting each section. The peninsula would be up to 10 foot across, but be open in the middle as the modeled area would be around 10-16 inches deep.
ACI placement
Could someone help me in suggesting where I would put an ACI label on this hopper.
I'm doing this from an iPad so I can't attach a pic, but here is a link to the image:

MRC Tech 4 hand held remote
Just got MRC Tech 4 hand held remote, and it says it is for model 250. Is there any other MRC that will also work with this hand held ? It came with a 6-wire cord with a phone-type plug. Even if I have to wire it to another type of connector, or even hard-wire it to another MRC. Looking for any help. Thanks.

Lift section?
I just watched the latest post on Trainmasters TV, the Feb. Act II. What really grabbed me was the powered lift section from Mianne Benchwork. Has anyone seen this in person and do you have any idea of the price? I looked on their web site, but can't find a price. Based on the rest of their prices, I can't justify using them for all of my benchwork, but that lift section and mating sections on either side sure looks like a sweet solution for my entry.

securing speakers inside locomotives
I just got a few new Rail Master speakers that I will try and fit into my various locomotives with my RailPro sound modules. I don't want to permanently install the speaker just listen to it and see how it sounds before I do so. Has anyone ever used this product by Elmers? http://www.elmers.com/product/detail/E625?filterPath=putty
I looks like it may work. Would it work for a permanent seal or what should I use? getting a bead of some silicone down in there looks nearly impossible on some of the loco shells. What works and what should I aviod?

Kingstone Locomotive Works receives two engines for rebuild
Was surfing E-bay and came across two items I keep looking for.
First, another calf for the mother cow and her first calf. I now have a heard.
This engine set will be driven by Hobbytown drives. The first calf has a Hobbytown drive that was designed for the Athearn SW series switchers way back.
The second calf will get a custom built frame with Hobbytown drive components.
