Been a heck of a 2 weeks here. Thought I would let you guys in on some of it. Started by finally figuring out where the sores and such on my lower legs were coming from - poison ivy from the dog's fur. We found out when the bush he liked to play under was removed and the yard guy found the Poison ivy.
ON30 20x40 DRGW Narrow Gauge
My buddy and I are building a 20x40 ON30 layout. It is a triple deck around the walls kinda layout. We only work on it during the winter time as the rest of the time we are actively involved with 7 1/2 inch gauge out door railroading (live steam). I have a spectrum F7AB set. got a great deal on ebay. these are N scale models. problem is that i need 2 A units. is it possible to just change the B body shell out for an A unit shell?
Worlds largest Model Railroad
Interesting post on gawker about the worlds largest model railroad and a Sony project to document it. They claim its 16 acres, 50,000 feet of track, and enough lumber to build 42 houses

CP SW1200RS project
After many hours of work, I was able to contribute a pair of CP SW1200RS units to the Sudbury fleet of locomotives on the WRMRC. 8152 and 8159 proved themselves on the Espanola Turn at last Saturday's operating session.
The models were built from resin shells by Point 1, reworked frames and drives from P2K SW9s, Athearn flexicoil sideframes, NWSL wheels, and an assortment of detail parts.
