First op session for the Wheeling Freight Terminal
Last week a friend visited and we operated my home layout for the first time. Of course this doesn't happen at the drop of a hat. I spent a few days preparing for the session. I have operated on many layouts, but this is my first home layout to operate since 2001. Details and photos are posted on my blog.

I had one of those oddball ideas today, and I'm almost afraid to even bring it up...
Strange stuff found alongside the tracks
Anyone ever found interesting things walking along a stretch of track? The other day I found this cassette. Anyone found anything else interesting? Wouldn't mind trying to figure out how to add some random litter along my layout.

Just real pleased at having discovered this site and look forward to a long association with it We need fresh voices in the hobby and an online magazine might just appeal to the younger generation so tht our beloved hobby can continue to move forward.
