Laying the Last Piece of Track -Trenton Subdivision in N Scale

I have finally laid the last section of rail on my rebuilt N Scale -Trenton Subdivision.

To Mark this milestone, I decided to have some fun.

Bus/feeder wiring question

When connecting feeder wires to the bus wires, which is preferable: Using suitcase connectors or wiring the feeders to a barrier strip?  I imagine troubleshooting is easier when feeders are wired to a barrier strip.

Speaking of barrier strips, I know how the feeders are wired to it but how is the bus wired to it?

JMRI operations - android app?

Hi all,

I've got an old Samsung Galaxy Tab which I'm planning to use with JMRI to run my model railroad. I'm also planning on using the JMRI operations module for switch lists, etc.

I was just wondering, is there a way to take the switch list information from the operations software running on the PC and pull it up on the tablet via wi-fi at all?

Cheers,
tbdanny

Gator Foam as a sub base for a large building. Questions

I am looking over the article in MRR magazine entitled "Meet Gator Board", May 2005. Based on this article, I will be using Gator Foam to provide a sub base for a large paper mill building. The building is about 36" by 10". I will be using it under the pulp building and pulping tanks also. (The building are kit bashed from the Walthers Kit)

I have a couple a questions regarding two areas of construction using this material:

Looking for HO Train Station

Hi

I am looking for information in regards to a HO Train Station I will be installing on my layout. The issue I am having is that I cannot find a kit  that look  suitable . I might do some kitbashing to get close [enough] to the real thing, which is fine.

The original is a turn of the century station of the Intercontinental rr and it has been modified (roof line) over the years. It's an all brick building. The roof pitch is the signature of the station.

San Diego Model RR Museum

I'm going to be in San Diego over Labor Day weekend.  I'd love to be able to get to get to run a train at the Model RR Museum, on ANY of the layouts there.

Does anybody on these forums have an 'in' at the museum?

I'd greatly appreciate any opportunity!

Thanks in advance.

Micro Engineering City Viaduct

I'm using Micro Engineering City Viaducts HO double track to build I long elevated train of about 10'. I will be following the manufacturers directions.

Can anyone lend any assistance as to the methods they used for attaching sections and attaching flextrack (which is curved). The curve is very slight.

Single Stall Engine House Part 8

Well I'm still awaiting more roofing material to finish the main roof off. So for now I've mounted hinges on the doors and put them in place as you'll see in the following images.

I decided to use after market hinges as the ones in the kit are peel and stick and I wanted something a little more realistic with a working hinge. So I came across campbell scale models strap hinges and ordered a them.
