Digitrax DCC mobile ecoders
Greetings DCC experts,
I have a Proto 2000 GP9 with a Digitrax DH163L0 DCC decoder.
The the new bulbs are 1.5 volts and do not work either direction. The bulbs have been tested and this is the second decoder that has done this. The decoder is insulated with tape. The Loco operation is fine.
Is this a programming secret I am missing?
I'm always impressed by the photos and info on this site and thanks.
I'm published?
This will appear in tomorrow's Courier Post newspaper. Here is the on line version.

2 level mountain
Has anyone with a 2 level RR ever run a scenic element from the lower level through the upper level? I'm thinking a mountain with a tunnel on the lower level that would taper through the upper level so I can introduce a bridge to cross the mountain on the upper level. Blayne
New shelf layout
So if you look at the dates of last posts, you'll notice that this shelf has been a long time coming. Now I've got to design the track plan. The shelf is 16 inches wide, nine and a half feet by six feet. It can come apart in two four foot and two six foot sections. Still want to model the NYC in Michigan, somewhere between Owosso and Saginaw. I am considering a Time Saver or some sort of switching puzzle on part of it for higher interest. Not really sure yet on what to do with the track plan.

N Scale Hopper Shells
I'm looking for N scale undecorated two or three bay coal car shells. Does anyone have a contact for these?
Need suggestions for ballast suppliers/manufacturers
I have already tried Woodland Scenics fine and medium ballasts.
I hate them.
They are too lightweight, get blown, flung, and ticked around the layout and are affected by static electricity. I want something that has some weight and density to it. A real stone product.
I am modeling in HO scale and would like a ballast that is scale in size. Something like a Woodland Scenics "fine" sized ballast.
Roque Bluff in O Scale p48
I would like to get the groups input on a plan that is based on Iain Rice's Roque Bluff.
