Hat Cam POV (Point of View) test using my Cube micro camcorder
When I recently was working on the water feature at the base of my Misti Mountain I was disappointed that I couldn't video some of the work as I needed both of my hands to do the job. After thinking about it I thought that I would try out using my new Polaroid Cube micro camcorder attached to a cap (Notice the name on the cap!).
I just took the cap and clamped on a metal spring clamp. The Cube has a magnetic base so I just set it on the clamp and started shooting video. Here's a picture of the rig:

DCC Futures
The super terriffic Lenz 23151 seems to have disappeared, back-ordered seemingly everywhere and the LZV200 is but a phantom. X posted
The only comparable alternatives seem to be Roco Z21 and the ECOS 50200.
Looking at the Roco Z21 I am impressed. Are there any US dealers or distributors?

Rob Mallett's Lodi Junction
Some extended SP indulgence that I recently filmed on my friend's developing layout, an imaginary Lodi Junction.

GATX Airslide hoppers - history and paint schemes questions? w/ images
Hi everyone, so thank you for reading this. I am trying to figure out the history of this hopper. It says built 6-72 and a had polycluch applied in 10-92. Did it have this blue GATX paint scheme since 1972? with the Italgrani logo? Was this later? Was this strictly in use for Italgrani? I am really trying to use this for my 1980s era layout and hoping I can just change the 10-92 date and maybe erase the Italgrani black/white stripe? Any links or thoughts would be great! Thanks in advance!

Cricut Explore Air
I have Miles Hale to thank for my Christmas gift. My wife watched the video he did on the Cricut Explore with me and knew I wanted one. Never for one moment expected it but she held on to it for the last gift of the morning. She even got the wireless air version. Very excited! Can't wait to set it up and start some projects.
I am a blessed man!
Merry Christmas to you all.

SPSF Meadow Sub: Bellevue Station Kitbash
One of the structures I have been wanting to get around to in the last year is my centerpiece passenger station, The Bellevue Station. I finally had a chance to start it and finish it in the last month. This blog entry details the information behind the station and provides a gallery of photos during construction.
