Phew... Fooled myself. Thought I had a short...

So I haven't had as much time to finish wiring the staging the past week as I anticipated.  But I had a little time this morning so I was able to finish soldering about half the remaining staging feeders to the track and to the bus.  I did some of it, checking for continuity with each feeder. All good.  About half way through what I did today, I also checked for shorts. Still good.   Hooked up the power to the bus and tested the track with an engine.  Working great. Removed the engine and went back to soldering.

Idea - enhancing smart phone and DCC integration

Let's hope this doesn't degenerate into a flame war, or a battle of the trolls (hmm...  roasted troll....).  I have an idea, and I thought I'd start a new thread to separate it from other related topics.  Specifically, the idea came to me while reading about Rob Teed's work with DCC uncouplers and his search for a smartphone app to control them.

The French way

Now this is how they celebrate in France a train drivers last work day!

Enjoy

Scale Model Animation 7 – Just for Fun! Smallest Scale Model Animation Ever?

Model animation—bringing models to life—adds enormously to the interest and enjoyment of any layout or individual model! This entry demonstrates the use of a different type of LED lighting that most people likely have not considered. It also may be the smallest scale model animation ever?

OO scale cars

I have a few OO scale cars, how much different do they appear on my layout than HO? Are the sizes that noticeable?

Uncoupling

We now have some of the best models we will probably ever have, Assembled rolling stock and engines, DCC, sound, constant lighting and most running like Swiss watches, while still being reasonably priced. But uncoupling cars is still in the prehistoric age! I have bought or tried most ways to uncouple cars, but nothing seems to work all the time. Lifting a car to uncouple just ruins any kind of realism you're trying to accomplish.

Cleaning / Lubing Tyco Clementine Steam Loco

I have an old Tyco Steam Loco - Clementine - that I'd like to clean and Lube after 20 years of being in a box.  What products should I use to clean and lub it?  It barely runs due to dirt on the wheels and I'm sure it needs cleaned and lubed.   thanks...
