Branchline Blueprint 50' Plug Door Boxcar Build
Since I don't have a layout I've been buying up rolling stock kits and the shows I attend. I have of these kits that I'm working on assembling.

source for phosphor bronze strip material for wipers?
Can somebody recommend a US source for phosphor bronze strip material?
I'm looking for 1mm wide strip to make wipers for my locomotives.
Everything I found so far is coming from the UK.

SPSF Meadow Sub: Union Pacific SW1500 for the UP Transfer
I wanted to add a little variety to my UP transfer, so I decided to model another locomotive that could be paired with the GP38-2 and would be swapped with the CNW GP15-1. This project took exactly one week to complete and it helped that I started with a model that had already been detailed fairly well.

Bachmann good , bad or indifferent ?
My mother in law was nice enough a couple years ago to buy me a Bachmann 2-8-0 Spectrum consolidation locomotive in N scale.
I didn't have a place for it on the layout at that time so after a very brief test run it just sat on my display shelf till last week. It came into service as my Bachmann F9 loco stripped the white plastic worm gears and isn't running any more.
The parts for the F unit are cheap and easy to change but Bachmann doesn't have any so repairs aren't possible apparently.

Weathering; Lessons learned from Trainmasters Tv and MRH
Hi all,
Recently there have been a number of several new videos on Trainmasters TV with step by step guidance on weathering techniques.
I can't say enough about how enjoyable and inspirational these tutorials are; furthermore they gave me the confidence to try them out on a locomotive.
