Retention pond with overflow pipe now available as a downloadable PDF
Some while ago I did a blog entry on this website showing how I did a retention pond with a overflow pipe. It's not a new posting; however I've included a link below to my website below to a PDF that you can read or download. I got the idea from making a PDF of Rob Spangler's excellent thread on his water feature here on MRH. I'm thinking about "publishing" more of my how-to's if there's interest.
MRH podcast
Hi All,
Just wondering what happened to Paul, Ryan and the podcast. There haven't been any updates since Oct 2012.
Cedar Creek - Modeling Water on the 8th Sub
I wanted a project of limited scope that would still provide evidence of progress. Modeling some water sounded like a plan, so I got to work on the Cedar Creek scene from last year's MRH Forum Challenge. For construction of these scene in preparation for water, see http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/8540 .
Hammerjacks Free-mo Module
Slowly under construction is a 4ft Free-Mo module titled "Hammerjacks" after the famed rock concert venue in South Baltimore. For my first blog entry:
Hammerjacks gets a business district
Blair Line Pizzaland and Addams Avenue No. 1 form the primary block of businesses. Besides the pizza joint there is a Record & Tape Traders used music store, a liquor store and a pawn shop. Below are some progress shots
Modern freeway overpasses
I model in n-scale and modernish. I wonder if anyone has seen or made anything that resembles the flowing freeway overpasses that are so common in California. There are RIX overpasses, but they are strait and flat. I have seen some bent somewhat, but I am looking for something that looks like the overpasses that appear like in this picture.
Maybe something like this: http://www.visualphotos.com/image/2x3810312/freeway_overpasses_low_angle...
